ANPA has been invited to participate in the Global Diaspora Forum, organized by the U.S. Secretary of State’s Office of Global Partnerships, in collaboration with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Migration Policy Institute (MPI).
The Forum which opened today, will take place over three days (May 17 – 19) and is focused on involving US-based diasporas in foreign policy and development efforts to achieve common-interest goals. Secretary of State Hilary Clinton delivered the keynote address this morning. ANPA President, Dr. Fiemu Nwariaku, who is also an associate professor of surgery and Associate Dean for Global Health at the University of Texas-Southwestern, will be a speaker during the panel discussion on “Health and Medicine”.
